Jelena Vujic (PhD), Full Professor, graduated from the Faculty of Philology, Belgrade University where she defended her MA and doctoral theses in 1999 and 2003 respectively.\u00a0 She teaches undergraduate, graduate and doctoral courses.<\/p>\n

She is a well-published author who has participated and presented her papers at more than 80 international conferences and congresses worldwide. Her publication record includes more than 70 scholarly articles published both in Serbia and internationally.\u00a0 Her scientific interests include word-formation patterns in English and Serbian, features of loanwords, language contact, sociolinguistic aspects of the language of the diasporas, translation studies etc.. She is the author of the following books: Osnovi morfologije engleskog jezika<\/i> (2006), Describing English through Theory and Practice I<\/i> (2011), Describing English through Theory and Practice II<\/i> (2012), Konstrukcione teme<\/i> (2016), Osnovi morfologije i leksikologije engleskog jezika <\/i>(2020) and Describing English through Form, meaning and Use <\/i>(2022). Describing English through Form, Meaning and Use<\/i> (2022), Jezik pisanog nasle\u0111a Srba u Americi <\/i>(2023). She has also supervised a number of PhD and master theses.<\/p>\n

Prof. Vujic was a PI on the following scientific research projects: Developing Applied Foreign Language Skills (DAFLS) Erasmus+KA2; Strategic partnership 2020-FR01-KA203-080673<\/i> and Cooperation of Serbian Science with Diaspora Written Cultural Heritage of Serbian Diaspora in English and Serbian in the USA (1):\u00a0 Serbian-American Periodicals (1900-1960) \u0431\u0440. 6462817 (funded by Science Fund of RS).<\/i><\/p>\n

She was awarded several research academic grants and scholarships. She is a member of a number of professional associations. In addition, she has been a remember of review panels for textbooks and monographs both in Serbia and internationally and currently serves as a member of the editorial board of several language journals.<\/p>\n

Since 2021 she has been sitting on the Committee for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in higher education with Serbian National Agency for Quality Assurance (NAQA).<\/p>\n
