Ana S. Jovanović, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the Department of Iberian Studies, Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade. She graduated from the Department of Iberian Studies at the University of Belgrade and completed her master’s and doctoral studies at Purdue University (USA). She teaches courses in applied linguistics, second language acquisition and heritage language studies, and coordinates teacher practicum for pre-service teachers of the Spanish language.
Her primary research interests reflect a transdisciplinary approach to topics related to second language acquisition, heritage language studies, curriculum development, critical pedagogy, and intercultural education. She authored two monographs, co-edited several thematic volumes, authored and co-authored a number of academic papers. She is consultant of the Institute for the Improvement of Education and of the Institute for Education Quality and Evaluation of Serbia.
